Be enchanted by the rich history of Yerseke, the bustling heart of the mussel and oyster industry, and discover the hidden treasures of this picturesque village. Whether you long to relax on the waterfront, discover culinary delights or explore the natural splendor of the area, Oysterduinen
welcomes you with open arms for an unforgettable stay. Let us be your guide through this wonderful piece of paradise on the coast of Zeeland.

The center

The center of Yerseke is small but nice. You have everything you need there.
There are several stores, a drugstore, a bakery and an Albert Heijn supermarket.

Bakery Vroonland is famous for its famous Zeeuwse bolus, with or without cream.
If you like sweet treats, you will be in luck at Chocolaterie & Patisserie Ticho.

Yerseke also has several restaurants in the center where you can enjoy a bite to eat.
Every Friday morning from 08.30-12.30 there is a weekly market on the church square with over 15 stalls.

The marina in Yerseke

Yerseke marina is located directly on the beautiful Oosterschelde estuary. Here you can experience the real Zeeland: tidal water, salty sea air and a panoramic view of the largest national park in the Netherlands. From your berth, you can sail straight out onto the Oosterschelde - ideal for both sporty sailors and those seeking peace and quiet.

Canal tour and experience
Would you like to discover the area from the water without sailing yourself? Then you can book a boat tour at Marstrand Rondvaarten. During this tour, you will learn all about mussel and oyster culture, the nature of the Oosterschelde and life on and around the water. What makes the marina extra special is its location close to the center and the famous oyster pits of Yerseke. Within minutes you can walk to restaurants where you can taste fresh Zeeland mussels and oysters - straight from the Oosterschelde. You can do this, for example, at De Oesterij.

Other recommendations are De Viskêête with a nice terrace on the harbor and delicious kibbeling and Restaurant De Branding for a snack and a drink.

Beach day in Yerseke

Our vacation park is within walking distance of the Dam beach in Yerseke. A small, popular beach that is especially popular with families with young children, as the water is usually calmer here. At low tide, small beaches and shallow pools form where children can play safely and look for crabs or shells. Walkers and cyclists also know this place well, thanks in part to the beautiful routes along the dike.

The beach is easily accessible and parking is available nearby.

Visit the Oosterschelde Museum

In the authentic fishing village of Yerseke, you will find the Oosterschelde Museum. Here the history of Yerseke with its fishing and mussel and oyster culture comes to life. You will find numerous original utensils, tools, photographs, documents that tell you how the people of Yerseke lived and worked in earlier times.

Located in the center of the village of Yerseke, the Oosterschelde Museum is housed in the former town hall (1914). The former council chamber houses a permanent exhibition, where you can see how Zeeland oysters used to be grown. Also watch the film that gives you an idea of what must happen before a mussel is on your plate.

A special place in the museum is set aside for the drowned town of Reimerswaal. With archaeological finds, map material and other relics, you can see how the rise, life and work and decline of the town took place.
